Holly Springs N.C. I own a Duke 790 and concur with what shep said above. Very light and powerful for an 800. Carves like a scalpel and 300 mile days are no prob at all. The KTM 690 SMC R is an absolute riot to ride at any speed and the electronics have done nothing to dilute its rawness. 2019 sees the latest generation LC4 motor slotted into a tweaked chassis

The 2018 KTM 690 is exactly like the 2017 KTM 690. No changes other than the year number. The 2019 KTM 690 is supposed to have the balancer and be a totally updated model. My part time, after my normal job is at a local KTM dealer. I've put together and done the PDI on 5-6 2018 KTM 690's this year. No changes from the '17.
