2 Shape the mast base to the contour of the mount in the hull. I chose option 1 and 2 after a little deliberation. The internal hull mount remained square and the mast was cut and shaped accordingly. I chose to do this as once fixed the mast would not be able to rotate in the hole should the glue fail at any point.
Pigments- this is the color part and they are fine powders that do not dissolve but are suspended in the paint. We need something to help them stick to the surface and that is the Binder - is the substance that (hopefully!) keeps the pigment on the surface and is often an Acrylic Polymer.. Vehicle - is the transport for the mix of the above to travel

Alsodepending on the fit of the model (it varies greatly with revell check scalemates to see the age of the tooling) you might need to invest in some putty. Also in general sand paper of varying grits say 600-4000 is good to have.
PostedNovember 21, 2021. As mentioned this subject has come up before. How I see it: Revell is the better kit, Airfix is the better model. Airfix is more accurate in many respects, but it's considerably more difficult to put together and has heavy panel lines.
Ichose the second of the yellow-olive, since I already have several models in the NATO scheme and I liked the markings for the 4th PzGrenDiv, PzAufklBtl 4, Roding, 1980. I primed with Tamiya spray-can NATO green (TS-61), then airbrushed Vallejo Model Air yellow olive (70.013) and olive gray (71.015) in cloud patterns to provide variety.

Agood number of the kits I have are Revell/Monogram. That is all the local Hobby store (aka Michaels) carries. I think they are pretty good. For RM models, I usually find good deals on good kits.
